 partly inspired by a dream i wrote down a couple years ago,
and a story i recently heard about how Indian rugweavers
incorporate errors into the pattern by repeating
them...kinda like jazz ;)

turningwheel

i can't sleep
you're here again
wandering these halls
kisses in doorways
army of heartbeats 
drumming
break open

secret messages
sent in morse code
across the clouds
army of birds
ready to burst
from my chest
sing

all night long
listening to you
bedroom eyes 
magnet fingers
til i'm falling into your arms  
turning wheel carry the flow
don't wipe the slate clean
weave error into beauty

like kites tugging at their strings
