The Gathering

notes:
(Dedicated to fellow SAD-ers on this, the final day of 2019!!)
Blue skies over gray
Set the perfect tone
Moving streets lend murmured beats
To schadenfreude birdsong
Eternity felt, yet gone in an instant
Sizzling sonority turns time to ash
Co-mingled inventions,
Uncommon fruits to be fleetly devoured
The Gathering of Elders with the New
Comes but once in twelve cycles of the moon
SAD gods sated
Intensity breaks
Sunbeams brush against the blooms
Blue skies over gray
Set the perfect tone
Moving streets lend murmured beats
To schadenfreude birdsong
The Gathering of Elders with the New
Comes but once in twelve cycles of the moon
SAD gods sated
Intensity breaks
Sunbeams brush against the blooms
Each off to wrestle all alone with their own muse
Comrades in art must bid their fond adieu
The Gathering of Elders with the New
Comes but once in twelve cycles of the moon
SAD gods sated
Intensity breaks
Sunbeams brush against the blooms
